Claims Representative

Description:	Contact insurance companies for status of medical claims – via telephone and/or on-line status.
Duties:	Contact insurance companies for status of submitted medical claims, re-bill claims, if necessary, providing all necessary documentation for payment of claims. Verify coverage is good and address is correct. Contact patients for any additional information that may be needed by the insurance company to get the claims processed. Provide insurance companies with any additional information that is necessary to process the claims.
Requirements:	Computer knowledge 10 key by touch, 50 wpm Three (3) years in health care billing/follow-up.

 

Medical Biller

Description:	Proficient in the submission of claims using a HCFA 1500 or UB04 (electronically and paper) to all payers.
Duties:	Correctly submit all claims either electronically or on paper with all necessary information included.
Requirements:	Computer knowledge 10 key by touch, 50 wpm Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS Codes, ICD-9 Five (5) years billing/collections with hospital and/or physician
